On 19 October 2023, the BBC confirmed that girl group STAND UNIQU3 would represent the United Kingdom at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The announcement was made on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.

The group - 12-year-old Hayla from Liverpool, 13-year-old Maisie from Essex and 12-year-old Yazmin from Newcastle - was put together by producers following "an extensive audition process".

At the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Nice, France on Sunday 26th November 2023, STAND UNIQU3 performed the song Back To Life written by Sky Adams, Jakke Erixson and Jack Hawitt. Hewitt had also been one of the writers of the 2022 United Kingdom entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Back To Life finished in 4th place overall out of 16 competitors. The song amassed 160 points, of which 58 came from the public online vote and 102 from the professional juries in the other competing countries.

The Contest was won by Zoé Clauzure representing France with the song Cœur with a total of 228 points.
